Cardboard box

• special adhesive tape for glass (for works framed under glass);
• antistatic GNP OPP (oriented polypropylene) film with anti-abrasion and non-acidic properties;
• a sheet of bubble wrap (to protect against knocks and jolts).

Cardboard box with corner pads

This cardboard packaging option is used for transporting works of art with a very fragile surface that must not come into contact with anything else. It is well suited to transporting works by truck.

Transportation frame

The work of art is fixed into the wooden frame from behind using Oz Clips©, thus ensuring that nothing comes into contact with the surface of the painting. If the item is to be transported by air, the transportation frame is also packaged in an air transportation, sculpture or exhibition crate in order to ensure 100% effective protection. The frame and crate together are known as a ‘double crate’.

Standard crate

A standard crate comprising four 18 mm solid wood side panels and two 10 mm poplar wood panels on the front and back.

As our crates are custom-made, we offer a choice of either foam or cardboard lining, depending on what is most suitable for the work of art.

This type of crate meets all the requirements for transportation by road and sea, and provides optimal protection for your items.

It is extremely well suited to medium-sized items, such as mirrors, crockery and paintings.

The standard crate can also be used as an internal crate where a double crate is required.

Air transportation crate

The air transportation crate has been specially designed for transporting works of art by air. The additional protective features on the sides, front and back ensure the best possible protection during airport handling.

The side reinforcements located on either side of the corners are made of 16 mm thick solid wood. The reinforcements around the edges of the front and back panels are made of 16 mm thick mixed fir.

All of our crates are custom-made. Depending on the item to be transported, the crate can be fitted with different types of foam padding to ensure that the work of art is firmly supported inside the crate.

Options:

Nut and bolt fastenings (instead of screws), shock watch and anti-roll indicators, paintwork, moisture control unit, double crate (using standard crate or transportation frame) and special heat insulation.

SCULPTURE/PIANO CRATE

The piano crate has been specially designed for transporting large and/or heavy works of art and objects. It is fitted with 10 mm supports so that it can be moved using a forklift truck.

Cardboard boxes and small standard crates can also be transported inside the piano crate in order to benefit from the additional external protection.

The 16 mm solid wood reinforcements on the sides, top and bottom ensure maximum protection during transportation by road, air or sea.

EXHIBITION CRATE

The exhibition crate is designed for transporting fragile or high value works. The inside is completely padded with foam in order to absorb all shocks and vibrations.

This protection can be further enhanced with special heat insulation, designed to counteract all fluctuations in temperature during transportation.
