Import
AIn order to obtain entry into Switzerland free of Customs tax and duty for his household goods, the owner must be transferring his residence from his previous foreign location to Switzerland..
- Goods must by in owner's possession for at least six months and used during this period. Owner must attest that he will keep on using the household goods whilst in Switzerland.
- For cars, motorboats and airplanes, the owner must state that he will keep on using them for at least one year.
- The importation must be effected during the transfer of residence, but if the owner can prove that he cannot bring his goods then, he may obtain a delay up to three years provided he made a special request to Swiss Customs latest one year after his installation in Switzerland.
If all the household goods cannot be imported at the same time, free entry for the additional items will be granted provided one list of them is given to Swiss Customs at the time of the first importation. The delay to import these additional items is one year.
